About

I'm all about the human experience.

Sophia (ZOSH) Elacqua

I majored in Marketing at the State University of New York at Oswego where I graduated in May of 2015 within the top 7% of my business school. During my four years of undergrad, I spent an extensive amount of time working, interning and volunteering with some of the best marketing minds around. Although I found success in my work; I believe that life begins at the end of your comfort zone and I was hungry for new challenges.

In August 2015, I packed my 55L hiking bag and set off on a year long backpacking trip through Europe, New Zealand and Australia. This adventure resulted in exponential self-growth as I quickly adapted to new cultures, learned to communicate without knowing a word and focused on how I could best use my talents to contribute to the people around me.

For a short while I settled in Australia where I found my true passion for content creation. I began designing the front-end of websites, writing web-content, blogging and editing travel footage. I enjoy creating not only for the story-telling aspects but for its' ability to connect people on a deeper level. It's really an amazing thing when audiences feel like 'your story' is part of 'their story' too.

Since returning to the states, I have focused on learning beyond self-taught creative software and empowering other people to "DO MORE than just exist". I am currently freelancing at Manhattan Edit Workshop in New York, NY.

ZOSH? (pronounced z-OH-shh)

I'm strongly rooted in my half-Italian: half-Polish heritage. Ever since I can remember, my mother has called me 'Zosia' - or Sophia in Polish. I used to shy away when my Mom called me by my Polish name because I thought it sounded 'different'. Now I've grown to realize that if you're lucky enough to be different, don't ever change.

Do More Than Just Exist.
